Not all cleaning products are created equal.
For us, it’s not just about the ingredients. It’s about how we bring them together to create truly outstanding cleaning products.
We may share shelves with those who are comfortable being adequate — but that’s where the similarity ends. We’re always pushing ourselves to do more and be more. If we’re not doing things the best that we can, we start over. A purely better cleaning product can’t be made without genuine care — which is why we make our products using pure, plant-based ingredients that are safe for your family and for the environment.
In 1999, Felix created Prism Care because he knew that cleaning products didn’t have to be toxic. Through countless hours of research into plant-based, sustainable raw materials, the Eco-Max brand was born. All that hard work was worth it because now the Eco-Max line has both commercial and personal natural, non-toxic products.
Today, under the Prism Care Corporation, Eco-Max is the only natural cleaning products brand that provides uniquely pure products at a price you can afford.
We will always create the safer, more effective cleaning experiences people deserve.
Because that’s what we do. It’s who we are.

Prism Care Corporation, a Canadian owned and family operated company, was founded in April 1999 with the goal of benefiting people and the environment. Our mission is simple, but its impact over the years has been profound.
In 1999, under our PrismEnvironmental® brand, we were one of only a handful of Canadian companies offering EcoLogoTM certified cleaning products. But we knew that we could do more. We set out to replace hazardous, toxic cleaning products in commercial and institutional facilities one building at a time.
Over the next several years, we worked tirelessly — researching and utilizing the best natural, plant-based and sustainable raw materials in countless formulations to test their effectiveness. We listened intently to suggestions from all corners of our industry, particularly the cleaning staff of both large and small cleaning companies. It was important for us to work with and learn from these hard-working people, many of which were exposed to toxic chemicals every day. We learned a lot and set out on a mission to develop the highest performing, natural, non-toxic products on the market. This is how Eco-Max was born.
After receiving a tremendous response from across Canada, we knew we were on the right track. Organizations like Environment Canada, Royal Bank, TELUS, Bell Mobility, CIBC and Canada Post were — and still are — having their buildings cleaned with Eco-Max. This widespread interest, coupled with growing national and international environmental awareness, led to the release of Eco-Max consumer products for household use in 2007.
Since then, we have maintained our commitment to the environment while operating as transparently as possible. We publish all our test results for public viewing and are not afraid to list our ingredients — we’ve got nothing to hide.

Our green initiatives
At Prism Care Corporation, we practice a continued commitment to the environment — it’s something you’ll hear us say again and again. We do our best to act in an environmentally responsible manner in all aspects of our operational processes so as to minimize or eliminate waste. We recycle all recyclable materials including paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal and shrink wrap used in our office and manufacturing operations. From recycling materials in our own facility, to developing leading edge Green cleaners, we have found ourselves supporting several Green initiatives, some of which we’ve listed below.
UL EcoLogoTM is North America’s premier environmental certification program administered by Underwriters Laboratories. Long before the term ‘Green Washing’ became mainstream, we knew that telling our customers we were ‘Green’ wasn’t enough. This is why we were one of the first manufacturers to register our environmentally friendly cleaners with UL EcoLogoTM so many years ago.
We proudly display the UL EcoLogoTM on our labels. It gives our customers confidence, because they know that our products have been externally tested and proven to be as safe and eco-friendly as we claim them to be. Of course, we are constantly developing our cleaners to not only meet certification requirements, but to exceed them. When you purchase our products, you’re getting some of the Greenest cleaners available today.

In our ongoing journey to reduce our carbon footprint, we partnered with Bullfrog Power, a leader in providing clean electricity to homes and businesses throughout Canada.
As of January 2010, our office and manufacturing facility are powered by 100% renewable electricity originating from wind farms and hydroelectric plants that have been certified by the EcoLogoTM program. By supporting an organization like BullFrog Power, we are taking an active role in reducing the pollution caused by traditional oil, coal, natural gas and nuclear energy sources while helping to maintain clean air for future generations.
